Too Much Drama

The Vampire Diaries, Glee, God of Study, Personal Taste. What could be crazier than watching 4 TV shows/Dramas! Well, only an out-of-school youth like me can do that. Haha!

OPM Fever, Taking a Break from Kpop

For some reason, I felt like listening to one of Orange and Lemon's hits, Heaven Knows this morning when I woke up. I then found a Youtube channel with loads of OPM songs and after listening to most of them I realized I really missed Filipino music. So I searched for download links and ended up downloading OPM albums the whole day. Hahaha! Right now my playlist contains Callalily, Hale, Silent Sanctuary, Rico Blanco, Shamrock, Kitchie Nadal, Julianne, and even Noel Cabangon. I found a very helpful site with tons of OPM downloads so I kinda downloaded every album of my favorite artists. ^_^

During my highschool days, I was really into OPM. I think 2005-2008 was a period where OPM started to regain its glory but sadly it was short-lived. I don't know what happened. Maybe it was because of piracy? *chokes* I'm sorry. Sadly I am one of them piracy supporters. Forgive me. My meager allowance could only afford the cheap pirated CDs and "digital pirated copies/downloads". Haha! I think I only had one original album from a Filipino artist and it was given to me as a birthday gift. Anyway, that time, Rivermaya, Kitchie Nadal, Parokya ni Edgar, Hale, Callalily, Orange and Lemons and Cueshe were some of my favorites.

It was during the 90s that OPM was at its best.

Life Update plus 2PM - Fly to Seoul (Boom Boom Boom) MV

Hiyeah! I've been distancing myself from Kpop recently. It's unintentional. I think I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. My biases, Super Junior, DBSK, and Big Bang are currently not in the Kpop scene, although 2ne1 is back and Big Bang is gearing for this comeback next month too, and I don't really dig the new Kpop groups that are emerging. I don't know I can't seem to find a new group that'll keep me addicted to Kpop nowadays. The new groups that debuted after 2PM and 2AM just keep getting younger and younger and some just don't meet my expectations talent-wise (Beast and MBLAQ are exceptions. I like them. :P). Hmmm.. Is it really just because of that or I have really become mature and don't spazz that much now?

So.. What have I been doing/checking out related to Kpop, Korea, or Korean Entertainment recently? Korean Dramas and Korean Movies!! I just finished Cinderella's Sister last week and it's 9/10 for me. I love Moon Geun Young and I super love her and the other casts' fashion style in the drama, but it's just so melodramatic for me. Of course what can you expect, it's Moon Geun Young! But really, she's 24 now but why does she still appear as a teenager for me? Even when she takes mature acting roles, she's really still Korea's National Little Sister. Also, yesterday, I watched 71:Into the Fire. It's the most anticipated Korean war film of this year and I was so excited when I found out that the English subtitles are already out. It's a great movie and is definitely a must-watch. Unlike my all-time favorite Korean movie Taegugki, it's not as dramatic for me, but it's really, really good. It's about a company of 71 South Korean student soldiers who fought during the Korean War. The main actors were T.O.P. of Big Bang, Kwon Sang Woo, Cha Seung Won, and Kim Seung Woo (Iris). I have been waiting for this movie and it definitely matched my expectations. I love Korean War films and this movie just made me grow my interest in Korean history. Also, it also made me respect T.O.P. more as an actor. :] Today, I also watched 2 Faces of My Girlfriend (2007). It's not a new movie but my best friend recommended it to me so I watched it. It's also a good and sad movie though I didn't love, love it. Haha! Maybe because she basically told me a summary of the film after she watched it. She couldn't help but give me spoilers. And lastly, Khuntoria couple in We Got Married is an essential part of my weekend! It's the only variety show I've been watching these days. Come on, Nichkhun (2PM), who can resist Nichkhun?! Haha!

So as a celebration for my comeback in my Kpop addiction world, here's 2PM's video of Fly to Seoul Boom Boom Boom

Bruno Mars is ♥!

Shocks. Why did I not search for his other songs before?? Nothing on You was my summer soundtrack this year but I didn't really bother looking up Bruno Mars on Youtube. Haha! Not until today! I so love him already. His looks, his voice, his songs are just so awesome. I love all of his songs now. Plus, he's Filipino-American!

So everything you need to find out about him is in Wikipedia already. Haha! But just in case you didn't know, he collaborated with B.O.B for Nothin' on You which I think is one of the best songs of 2010, and Travie McCoy for Billionaire, another cool song. He sounds like Ne-Yo to me but I don't know there's something in his music that makes him different from others. I love Ne-Yo but Bruno Mars is so much better in my opinion. My favorite songs of him so far are Runaway, Move On, and Who Is.

Listen to Bruno Mars - Move On below.. Such a wonderful song!

2PM - I Will Give You My Life [MV] [Lyrics]

After Only You, this is my favorite 2PM song as of today. After I read the English translations of the lyrics, I was teary-eyed when I listened to it again with the translations. What a very touching song from one of my favorite Korean Idol Groups. How wonderful if Junho (my bias in 2PM obviously ㅋㅋ) would sing it to me. Haha! Forgive the daydreaming and the fangirling. Just listen to the song and read the English translations and you'll find out what I mean. Enjoy!  Lyrics after the jump! ^__^

Update!

Long time no post! hahaha! Gave my blog a new look today. I don't really have an artistic side when it comes to designing my blogs so I hope it turned out fine. Thanks to blogger's template designer it's easier to customize blogger themes now.
I only had 2 posts for the month of July and 3 posts for June. Tsk. I haven't been writing a lot online but I'm going back to the basics. I've been writing in my notebook again! haha! Diary, yes. Old-fashioned, yes. But it has become my habit these days. My notebook has become a budget book, a diary, and a planner, in one.

Also, I'm enjoying Tumblr a lot! I think I opened an account last February or January but I haven't been really active in posting stuff there not until July. Haha! I discovered the awesomeness of Tumblr. Actually it started as Mai Rant Avenue but Tumblr is too happy a place for me to post my rants and hatred there so I changed the "theme" of my posts there. I also introduced it to my sister since I think it will be a really good site for her passion in photography. So follow me @ my Tumblr blog here and my sister here. :]

Anyway, I miss writing here too so here it is.. I'm gonna try to write again. haha!

AJ Rafael - When We Say (Juicebox) MV

I need to recover from that very serious post prior to this. I've been having bad dreams recently so I need to divert my attention before going to sleep.

I know this song has been all over the Internet, and the charts for some time now but yesterday was only my 3rd time watching the video and it was only then that I came to appreciate the song. Sorry to my kababayan AJ Rafael. But hey, I love your song now. ^_^ If you guys don't know him, which I doubt 'coz I think he's really famous now, he's a Youtube singing sensation who became famous because of his covers. He sang his original songs too and this song is one of them. Watch the video and listen to the lyrics and I'm sure you'll remember that at one point of your life, you can relate to the song. Haha! Because, "this ain't a movie," there are no happy endings.. By the way, he's not my first love in Youtube. Haha! That one's got to be Gabe Bondoc. (just saying. lol.)

Enjoy the song and the video.. While I go find more happy videos or stumble upon free business cards, before I go to sleep. ^_^

Alarming Suicide Cases

Okay I know I should be sleeping right now but I accidentally opened the profile of one guy from my school who committed suicide just a few weeks ago. He was the second this semester. The semester started first week of June. Yes, three suicide cases in MSU-IIT in just one month. Wait 'til it's Finals! Just kidding.

The first guy killed himself because he flunked a subject. Stories say that it was his third time to fail the subject and he just couldn't accept it this time. The second guy committed suicide because of love problems. He was just a second year student! The third case was pretty dramatic I must say. He jumped off the overpass outside our school. The cause was apparently another relationship problem.

FIFA 2010

Well, I've been following the FIFA 2010 updates even though I'm not really a football fan. Believe it or not, I became a FIFA fan because of the World Cup songs. LOL. First it was K'naan's Wavin' Flag, then Super Junior's Victory Korea. And because of my Korean friends on Twitter and the Kpop celebrities I'm following, I found out how supportive the Koreans are to their team for the World Cup. It really amazed me. How I wish my country could represent in the World Cup in the future. How I wish. LOL. But football's not really a favorite game for Filipinos, it's basketball, so I think I might have to wait for a long time for that to happen.

So they are currently on the Round of 16, and last night, South Korea lost to Uruguay so they're not qualified to enter the quarter finals anymore. I think a lot of Koreans cried last night. I wasn't able to watch their game but for sure they did great and their countrymen are apparently proud of them. Too bad they can't have a chance to the finals. But it's still a victory for them for making it this far.

The team I'm cheering on for the 2010 World Cup is... Argentina! Why? Well, I was able to watch South Korea's game against them last week ( first football match I ever watched. LOL. I watched it because I was curious. lol. and I was bored that time. ) and I was impressed by their team. and.. yes, this is the part you have been waiting for.. One player caught my eye. It's Gonzalo Higuain. Argentina won against Korea 4:1 and Gonzalo Higuain contributed 3 out of their 4 goals. Since I wasn't able to finish watching that match via live streaming, I downloaded their game today and watched it. They're really good. I'm gonna watch replays of their games tonight if I finish downloading them all. Go Argentina!

Here are my favorite players of the team :

Happy Father's Day Tatay

I have an excellent father, his strength is making me stronger.
- The Best Day by Taylor Swift

My father's phone call woke me up today. It's just so nice to hear his voice. But because I was still so sleepy, I forgot to greet him a Happy Father's Day. I'm so sorry Tatay and Happy Father's Day.

I was browsing through the status updates in Facebook and saw a lot of father's day greetings. Then I realized a lot of people I know didn't grow up with their father by their side. It must be very hard for them. I couldn't imagine growing up without him.

I'm so thankful that I have the best dad in the world. Many people misunderstand him, including me sometimes, but I know he's always thinking of what's good for me and my sisters. I know he loves me so much. I have failed him so many times but he's still on my side, guiding me. I lived half of my life without him by my side physically. It was very hard too. It's still isn't easy even today. But as what mom and he used to say, it's for me and my sisters. I think of all the boys in my life, he's the only one I could really trust. They say I resemble him a lot. My mom and my eldest sister says I even got much of his attitude. I used to be very close to him before he left to work abroad but after a few years a lot of things have changed and sometimes it makes me sad that we're not as close anymore. I hope he'll come home and just stay here for good. I want to make up for the years we didn't spend together. I have always been asking him about that but he says it's not yet time. Well, that's true, my sisters are still studying and we still couldn't manage if he's gonna stop working now. Sometimes I really hate the fact that we can't be together because of money. But I know it's useless - all the blaming. Because here we are, we survived all the storms so far including the 1 decade of living away from each other.

So tatay, I have a lot of unsent letters for you. I'm so sorry I never had the guts to give it. But I hope you'll get to read this, I love you so much and thank you for everything. Thank you for taking care of me, my sisters, and nanay, and thank you so much for putting up with me despite all my failures. And thank you for being so brave in facing life without mama just for me and my sisters.

[Life Update] Being an Out-of-School Youth and Enjoying It

LOL at the title. Yes, school has officially started a couple of weeks ago which means I am now officially an out-of-school youth. I was supposed to graduate last April but yeah, I have an incomplete subject (my thesis) so it's gonna take another school year or at least one semester for me to finish it. And since the INC expires after one school year, I am not officially enrolled this semester. Hence, I'm an out-of-school youth!

I miss going to school. I miss waking up early, listening to lectures, chatting with my seat-mates during a boring class, cramming, and the allowance of course! lol. I miss my classmates a lot. I don't know when we will ever seat in a class all together again.

These days I'm just staying at home everyday and just go out when I have things to buy or bills to pay. It's quite boring but I have tons of movies on my hard drive now. I guess one true sign that you're a bored homebuddy and an out-of-school youth is that your hard disk is full of movies. It's a perfect time to catch up on good movies that I failed to watch because of school before. I actually have a lot of things on my plans during this not-so-free-from-school time but for now I'm still stuck with movie marathons.Revamping my blog and looking for cheap hosting is part of my list. I've been meaning to learn web development but I don't know I'm not that motivated yet. I also want to go back to learning Korean. Apparently, I stopped my Hangul 101 a few months ago and I'm not that into watching Korean shows or updating myself with the latest Kpop gossip anymore. I must go back to learning Korean before I forget a lot of things I learned before. Exercising and going on a healthier diet is also part of my to-do.

With this much time on hand, I don't even know which things to do everyday. Hahaha! Welcome to the life of an out-of-school youth. I'm enjoying it but I gotta hurry and finish my thesis soon so I'll be able to find a job. i know I'll get tired of this carefree out-of-school life..

Coolest Wine Labels

I missed the StumbleUpon button ever since I migrated to Chrome. It was only a few days ago when I found out how to stumble again using Chrome. Haha! I'm such a loser. Yes, you can still use StumbleUpon in Chrome but, that drop-down menu where you can choose to stumble only images or videos, or blog is gone. Tsk. Or maybe I don't know where to find it. LoL. My first stumbled page today was this! It's about wines.

I love drinking wine. I wanna collect wines and wine bottles in the future too. I stumbled upon this nice list of the coolest wine labels I've ever seen.. Gotta own one of these soon. Haha! I especially liked these ones below..

Lee Hyori and Daesung's Duet - How Did We Get

This is my favorite song from here newest album. I just love Lee Hyori. (and Big Bang's  Daesung too, he's really adorable.. ). Hyori recently made her comeback with her album H-Logic. It's her 4th album to date and she's currently promoting it in weekend Music Shows. It's a battle between 2PM's Without You, Rain's Lovesong and Lee Hyori's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang every weekend. But now that Super Junior has also made their comeback, it looks like it's going to be a tough fight for the mutizen awards.

Enjoy listening everyone! :)

Diet on Summer?

That seems impossible. Summer and Christmas months are my favorite months of the year. But these months are also the months when there are plenty of food in the table so gaining weight is inevitable. My dad comes home during summer so all our postponed birthday and other family celebrations, we spend it all on summer when he's home. It's the only time of the year when we can ask him to buy any food we want to eat so I don't really care about getting fat. Yes, I'm not one of those who go on a diet the whole year just to get a nice bod for their bikinis. It's the only time I can eat as much ice cream and chocolate as I want to for free so might as well take advantage. But now that summer is almost over, I'm starting to worry about my weight again. Maybe my friend's worries about how to lose weight is contagious, or maybe the mirror is really telling the truth that I'm getting fat again.
After last year's Christmas vacation, I managed to get my shape again after one month of diet and exercise. By diet, I don't exactly mean a strict one because I have stomach ulcers so I can't really skip meals or eat lesser than I should. What I do is just skip snacks, have healthy and hearty meals, and the secret - drink green tea and lots of water. I actually like tea and water so much. I think I'm already addicted to tea. I like trying out any tea I see in the grocery. Green tea, they say, can help your body burn calories faster, thus aiding to weight loss when complemented with exercise, so I guess it really worked since people around me said I lost weight after a month. But I stopped my routines because on March we had so many project deadlines to chase and I wasn't getting enough sleep anymore so I also stopped exercising. Then my father came home so my stomach flabs are here again.

Gotta go back to exercising and diet. Maybe I should try new whey too.  My happy days are over and it's time to get fit not only to lose the chubby image but also to have a healthier body. But how thin is healthy? How about Megan Fox as an example? ㅋㅋㅋ

I Miss DBSK/TVXQ!

I suddenly miss Yunho, Xiah, Hero, Micky, and Max. I was about to turn off the computer when I saw one of their old videos. Seeing them with those ridiculous hairstyles and baggy outfits, make me remeber how cute and innocent they were back then. I'm not a true blue Cassioppeia but I love DongBangShinKi. They are really talented. My favorite is Xiah Junsu, the cute Junsu. I love his voice. Plus I love the fact that he likes or sometimes called 'dolphin.' I don't really know the story behind this though.

They became controversial last year because of their lawsuit against SM Entertainment. Micky Yoochun, Hero Jaejoong, and Xiah Junsu, specifically had some issues about their contract with SME. Theirs was dubbed as slave contracts. I can't really remember the details, I don't want to read more about too because I know I'll just be sad. I like them. DBSK, like Super Junior, are also brothers to each other, like family. But it's been a while since they performed as 5 in Korea, it's been awhile since they released and album in Korea or even attend a variety show. I just miss the dorky, cute, and funny DBSK and amidst all the controversies, I hope they will come back someday. I want to see them in variety shows, music shows, and concerts again.

Here's one of their oldest songs, Hug. I love this song. I miss DBSK. >_<

P.S. Did you know that DBSK has the largest fan base in the world? That's how lucky they are. So many Cassiopeias love them. :]

I Have Found My Happy Place

in the IT field that is.

I can't believe one year have already passed since my on-the-job training. It was hard to adjust at first. Leia and I had a rough start. The only thing that kept us going was knowing that we were living in a very beautiful subdivision for free, we get to eat in almost all restaurants/food chain in the nearby SM every weekend, and I get to wear (and buy new clothes for) corporate attire (which honestly, really makes me feel happy. :).Despite all the stresses, the endless photocopy jobs, and the little trouble we went through during that 250-hour OJT, I am so thankful because I learned a lot (both IT-related and not). Since the call center I had my internship on was catering technical support for Linksys devices, and we were assigned in the Training department, we get to listen to the lectures and before our intrernship ended, we had a special mini-lecture series from the trainers there. We also get to harness our computer troubleshooting and reformatting skills, plus a lot of tips and tricks in computer security from our boss, the lab administrator of the training lab. So yeah, that was my first time to be exposed to networking devices, and learn how to configure routers and all. We also did an inventory of all the networking devices there so up until now, I am still a bit familiar with the model numbers of some of the devices. Haha! I actually enjoyed the training and I'm happy that I learned a lot during our OJT.

Then I took up Network Administration as an elective. And the rest is history. Haha! I fell inlove with the subject. Our teacher also inspires me and my classmates a lot. His encouraging stories give me hope and patience to endure BSIT, a course I never liked ever since I realized it was not as easy as I thought and flunked my first major subject. Yesterday, we had a meeting. Our teacher wanted to confirm who are the ones who are really committed to join the review and take the exam. I never thought it would be an inspirational talk kind of meeting. Haha! His stories about people he trained who are now at the peak of their careers now and of course stories of his own life of course. Imagine, there are only more or less 30,000 people in the world who passed the CCIE exam of Cisco. Wouldn't it be nice to be known as one of the 30,000 elite and unique people on earth? We are only gearing up for the CCNA. I'm not aiming for the CCIE yet. But this is already a big accomplishment and a big stepping stone for me and my classmates. For me, I'm just loving networks more and more now. Partly because of the demand of network engineers abroad, and partly because all this time I thought I can never love IT and now, here comes a field I know I enjoy studying and will still enjoy studying in the future. No matter what happens, if I go that far or not, this step is a very crucial part of my studies so I really need to do good. I want my dad to be proud of me. Review classes will start soon and I'm excited and nervous at the same time. So wish me luck in this endeavor.

Celebrations and Summer

Last week I went out-of-town with my college classmates to celebrate our classmate's graduation. We went to a beach resort in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental and stayed there for 2 days. I definitely had a blast during the whole time we were there. The sun was lovely, the beach looks so good, we had unlimited swimming pool and billiard hall use privilege, not to mention it was an all-expense paid trip. The best things in life are free. What's more fun than being in the beach, and playing under the summer sun with the best and most fun-to-be-with people in the world? I'm a very beach person. I just love the feel of my feet walking in the sand. Until now, I still get a wonderful feeling whenever I remember that weekend.

Just 2 days after, my stepmom's daughter came to visit Iligan City so we took her to the famous Timoga Spring Pools. It was actually an impulse decision for me again to join them since my best friend and I was supposed to hang out here in our house that day, I didn't know my step sister is coming and all. So yeah, since my sisters didn't want to swim anyway, my best friends tagged along and joined our "family day." I had a great time catching up with them and at the same time hanging out with my family.

So this summer has been soooo fun so far. It's just so good to bond with great people, eat good food, and just have fun under the summer heat. This summer is definitely another unforgettable summer. I can't wait to have more beach fun in the next weeks. But even though I'm not a sporty person, trying into sports activities for the rest of my summer would be a good idea too. I wonder how my other close friends are spending their summer. I guess most of them are into basketball betting now since the NBA Playoffs are already underway. My sister has been playing frisbee and I've been really meaning to join her but I can't wake up early in the morning. Haha! I want to learn how to swim too. Yeah, I love the beach but I can't swim. Such a pity, but I'll learn how to swim soon. My reviews for the certification exam I'm going to take will start next week. I hope I can still squeeze in some out-of-towns or beach outings with friends before that. It's just April and I'm very excited for the remaining one month of the summer.

Is Hankyung Really Leaving Super Junior? Part 2-Interview

I think this is not the same interview for the interview teaser that first came out but apparently this is about Hankyung speaking up about his current condition, what he went through before, and about SM Entertainment.

I'm happy that he's doing great these days. I'm also glad that he's spending more time with his family especially his mom. Honestly, even though I'm such a big fan of Super Junior, I didn't know about the mask incident(s). I'm a Ryeowook die-hard so please understand ㅋㅋ. But, of the 13 of them Hankyung is the one I admire the most because of everything he went through. I know about his visa problems, how hard it was for him to train in Korea away from his family and away from the way of life he was used to, but nobody truly knows how much the boys (all 13 of them) have suffered but themselves and their families. All of Hankyung's sacrifices to make his dreams come true in Korea and China, I'm just amazed how he endured it all. He even had gastritis. I know how painful it is to have gastritis. T_T

The part where he talked about the unfair treatment/contract he had with SME really touched me. He said that he can't really say it's unfair because if it really what you want to do, not everything is going to be fair. It was clear to him that the number of sacrifices he had to make was normal in that line of business. He even said that if not for all those hardships, like wearing a mask while performing just for Super Junior to have a complete appearance on TV, he wouldn't be who he is now. I admire him more because of that statement. Maybe it just finally came to a point that to Hankyung it's enough, the company has crossed the line. Hence, the lawsuit. I'm glad that to his statement I can still sense a feeling of gratitude he has for SME, despite everything. I'm pretty sure it wasn't all nightmares for him when he was in SME.

Everyone is still waiting for the result of the lawsuit. It's sad if Hankyung will really leave. I want Super Junior to be 13 again. But if Hankyung will be happier if he's out of SME, then I think I'll have to accept that. I don't know how I'm gonna do that, it's hard, but if it's going to happen, I can't change the decision of the court. haha! So I think I can eventually accept it. It's hard to see Super Junior lacking one member. I hate seeing them incomplete. Even when it was Kibum, Heechul, or Kangin's case, when they were frequently absent in Super Junior's appearances, it feels like the stage is really incomplete. The carnival is incomplete. But as one said, Super Junior can't stay together forever. One day, they will eventually disband. I'm still living for beacon of hope that Super Junior is going to be 13 forever though. No one can replace any member. As what Donghae recently tweeted, Super Junior + ELF = One 1. ELF, I know, will always support them whatever happens. I just hope the result of the case will be for the good of Hankyung, the remaining Super Junior members, and the fans.

Super Junior is in the Philippines! Part 1

 (how it feels)

Super Junior is in the Philippines..
and here I am, feeling like the whole world is on my shoulders, problematic because I can't go to their concert tonight. Super Junior arrived yesterday, April 9, 2010, in NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) in Manila.

As I'm writing this (it's currently 5:02 pm, Philippine time), the concert gates are already open for thousands of Filipino ELFs who are attending the last part of Super Show 2. I can't believe I'm sitting here, mourning, trying to find things to make me busy so I can forget about SS2. This is Super Junior's first time to be here in my country and I won't be able to see them. I'm a very big fan. I love them to bits. I can't believe I won't be able to sing Marry U and Shining Star to the boys I really adore. It's one of my dreams to be in one of their concerts and do the famous Marry U chants with my co-ELFS and watch them perform at their best and sing in front of me. I want to see them bow at the end of the concert, LIVE! I want to see them live! But for now, for this Super Show, I just can't..

I found out about the concert last January. Being miles and miles away from Manila, I know, with my meager allowance, I can't save enough money to go to their upcoming concert. But I tried. I knew there's a way if there's a will. But since I'm a very impulse driven person, plus all the expenses I had to give for school stuff, my personal savings went bankrupt. Someone offered me a plane ticket (round-trip) to Manila but it's just impossible that I can accept it without hurting my family. (damn, if only i can be insensitive and ungrateful for one day. but i can't. I can't take putting the ones I love to that much trouble.) With my blogging I earned enough to buy a ticket for the concert but not sufficient for my ticket to Manila and back. My only way to get to the concert was that if I graduated last April 7-8 since I (think) can ask for the plane tickets as a graduation gift. But yeah, I didn't. I didn't finish my thesis and I wasn't able to attend this year's graduation ceremony. So yeah.. It's so sad. So sad.

But last week I had a very wonderful time with my family. My dad only comes home once a year and summer is just the happiest, happiest days of our year. No one can buy that. No concert can top that. Another good news also is that my blog, this blog, reached PR3 yesterday(or 2 days ago I think). Yep. I'm happy. I feel so thankful because of these blessings. But *cries on the floor like a baby* Super Junior.... Ryeowook.. T__T

I don't know when they will come back to the Philippines. I don't even know when they will be together as 13 again. This is a chance of a lifetime and I'm letting it pass. But I still believe that someday, I'm gonna be in their concert again. Maybe in the Philippines or not, but I'm definitely going to a Super Junior concert before I die.

To all ELFs who are in Araneta Coliseum right now, I hope you enjoy the concert.

To Super Junior, THANK YOU for coming to the Philippines. THANK YOU for working so hard for your fans and your families. THANK YOU for being Super Junior.

PS. Ryeowook.. T__T I'll see you someday oppa. Someday..

P.P.S. There will be part 2 of this. I'll post Super Junior's pictures and videos in the Philippines including some pics in the SS2 tonight. If I can get fan accounts from my friends I'll also try to post them here.

[Life Update] It's Been A While

So many things happened the past month - my dad arrived, bad news about me not graduating, I attended a Summer Retreat, we went to my dad's province for the Holy Week, our yaya left (or should I say was fired. tsk. that means all the housechores will be done by me and my sisters. sigh.).

Since I came back from vacation, I haven't accomplished anything except reformat my laptop and successfully run Windows 7. Finally, I'm using Windows 7 now. Goodbye stupid Vista! Haha! Why did it take a long time for me to switch? It's a long story. My dad loves Vista's environment too much plus he doesn't want to deal with the driver compatibility issues (my laptop's built-in OS when it was bought was Vista, so yeah..)- that's the bottomline.

I'm actually looking at some graduation albums in Facebook right now. Even though I have already accepted the fact that I can't graduate this year, I still can't help but feel sad and jealous of my highschool batchmates who accepted their diplomas today.

I know my time will come but.. Hmm.. It's just hard to explain.

I think I'll just sleep all these worries away for now. I just posted this update to let you know I'm still alive and that I'm back in the blogosphere.. :]

I Found a New Love - Lady Antebellum

Yep! I'm now inlove with Lady Antebellum's music. The first track I heard from them was Need You Now. Then last week, as I was browsing through the Billboard Top 100 site, I saw their new song American Honey in the charts. I checked it out and I instantly fell inlove with the song. I downloaded the whole album and tada I'm now officially inlove with their music. I like my dad's choice of country songs but the among the new and young country singers today I don't really have a favorite until today. Haha! Their album is currently playing on loop in my music player. This is gonna be one of the soundtrack albums of my summer.

From wikipedia:
Lady Antebellum is an American country music group formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006. It is composed of Charles Kelley (lead and background vocals), Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano, mandolin) and Hillary Scott (lead and background vocals). The group made its debut in 2007 as guest vocalists on Jim Brickman's single "Never Alone", before signing to Capitol Records Nashville and releasing "Love Don't Live Here". The song, which peaked at #3 on the Hot Country Songs chart in May 2008, served as the first single to the group's self-titled debut album. Certified platinum in the US, the album also includes the singles "Lookin' for a Good Time" and "I Run to You", the latter of which became the group's first Number One in July 2009. "Need You Now," was released in mid-2009 and is the first single off the band's new album released in January 2010; it is also the group's second number one single.
Lady Antebellum has been awarded Top New Duo or Group in 2009 by the Academy of Country Music and New Artist of the Year in 2008 by the Country Music Association. They were nominated for two Grammy Awards at the 51st Grammy Awards and two more at the 52nd Grammy Awards; of these nominations, they took home the award for Best Country Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals for "I Run to You." More recently in November 2009, the band was awarded Single of the Year (“I Run to You”) and Vocal Group of the Year by the Country Music Association.

If you haven't heard any of Lady Antebellum's songs yet, you better check this out. It's called American Honey.

SNSD's Run Devil Run MV - My Fave SNSD MV

This is by far my favorite video of SNSD. I'm so inlove with the song, their outfits, their bad-girl look, and the concept of the whole video itself. After the success of Oh!, the girls released Run Devil Run  last week. If Oh!'s music video featured a very cute cheerleading SNSD, Run Devil Run's concept is the whole opposite.

Taeyeon, Yuri, Yoona, and Tiffany looked fantastic in their bad-girl outfits. And I'm also surprised that Seohyeon, despite her very young and cute image (which I thought she can never wear off), can fit the bad-girl image for this video's concept. She's one of the best voices in the group I think but I hate that he's being paired up with C.N Blue's Jong Yonghwa in We Got Married. I'm damn jealous. But I'm actually liking her more now with this image.

Ke$ha has a version of this song too. SM Entertainment bought the rights to make a Korean version of this song. I like SNSD's version better.*biased. i love Yuri too much.* :]

Here's Ke$ha's Run Devil Run. Which one do you like better?

Let Kpop Make You Smile - Smile by Mighty Mouth feat. Insooni

This is an old video but everytime I hear this song or watch this music video I can't help but smile and be happy. The music video features a lot of Kpop artists including Epik High, 2AM, Kara, After School, Lee Seung Ki, Kim Taewoo, Baek Ji Young, Taegoon, and a lot more..

Insooni is one of Korea's best singers. Her song A Goose's Dream is one of my favorite songs. Mighty Mouth on the other hand is a famous rap duo in Korea. They have also been to the Philippines during the Korean Cultural Festival and performed this song at the CCP.

Watch the music video and SMILE! :]

Here's the English Translation of the lyrics of the song..

Great English Cover of Taeyang's Wedding's Dress

I was doing my usual Youtube rounds when I found this video in Recommended Videos section. I really love Taeyang and I love, love, love, his song Wedding Dress. The melody, the painful lyrics, the music video, and Taeyang himself in the MV - it's just perfect. The song played on loop in my head for weeks since it was released. So what made me click the link to this cover was that it was an English cover. I've always been very keen about song lyrics. No matter how bad the melody or how much I hate the singer, I can love the song if its lyrics are good or something I can really relate to. So I wanted to know how he interpreted the song in English and much to my surprise, it's really good. There was also a rap verse added and it sounded really cool. If I have never heard of Wedding Dress before then I hear this song, I would definitely still fall in love with the song.

About the artist, I don't know if he's already signed or if he already has an album or if he's popular in Youtube or any place. Haha! This is my first time to hear his cover and I like it so I'll check his other videos out later. He's Korean by the way.

It's such a sad song. If you've seen the original music video, you can really feel sad for Taeyang giving away the girl of his dreams to his best friend (or is it his brother? I'm not really sure). It must hurt like hell for him seeing the one he loves so beautiful in a wedding dress but marrying his friend and not him. Worse is seeing the woman you love get out of your bathroom door, in her bath wrap, and waking up to the truth that you're only imagining. Haha!

But speaking of weddings, I also came across of some fun stuff that can be given as gifts to women today. These personalized ink stamps might just be perfect for your workmate who's getting married. A personalized platter would also be great if you want to stick to the traditional way of giving things for the kitchen as wedding gifts.

So enjoy the cover of one of my favorite Kpop songs. I know you would really like it if you're a kpop fan.

Is Hankyung Really Leaving Super Junior?

Last year, Hankyung complained about the unfair terms of his contract with SME and filed a lawsuit against the entertainment company. There's a video clip I saw today about him finally speaking up about the lawsuit. It's just a preview of his whole interview but I believe he's implying that he really wants to leave Super Junior.

Everybody's still waiting for the decision of the court but fans can't help but worry about the 13-1 Super Junior. Kim Kibum, the youngest member did not participate in the 3rd Album and all of Super Junior's promotions last year because he wanted to focus on his acting career. Kangin, on the other hand, got into some serious trouble so he was suspended from participating in any Super Junior activities for the 3rd album (including Super Show2 Tour and commercials) after that as punishment. This leaves 10 Super Junior members to land in Manila on April 9 for the last leg of their Super Show 2 Asia Tour on April 10.

I'm very sad about this.

Kpop Idols in the Philippines

It started with Kim Bum. Because of the high popularity of Boys Over Flowers here in the Philippines, he was warmly receive by many Filipinos last September 2009 when he arrived here for his commercial shoot with Maja Salvador for RC Cola. He even participated in volunteer works because he arrived here just after we experienced the wrath of typhoon Ketsana.

Then came SHINee. They attended the Korea Cultural Festival here in the Philippines last Nov. 2009.

Next was 4Minute who promoted their album during the first week of February 2010. They also performed in various TV programs.

On the last week of February, Doojoon and Nickchun of 2PM also went to the Philippines to do charity work.

Yesterday, FT Island performed on Showtime, a morning talent show here in the Philippines. They are here for their concert at the PICC Plenary Hall, today, right now, as I am writing this blog post.

After I watched and screamed like crazy yesterday while watching FT Island perform, I couldn't help but worry about Super Junior's upcoming Super Show 2 here in the Philippines. If I almost died seeing Choi Jonghoon, Hongki, Jaejin, and the rest of FTI on Philippine television, how much worse would I feel if I see Super Junior only on TV. This is their first time to have a concert here and I really don't want to miss the opportunity of seeing the boys I really adore. If only I live near Manila. I love Iligan and I certainly love province life but during times like this, I can't help but hate that I'm living in the province. Aside from the concert tickets, the costly transportation is more painful for my pocket. IT'S SO HARD TO BE A FAN GIRL. haha! That's all I can say. Only God knows how I can attend Super Show 2. Actually there are also minuses if I go. First, the 13 of them won't be there. 2nd, the 13 of them won't be there. I might miss our visit to my grandparents' place again (I wasn't able to go last year). 3rd,..the 13 of them won't be there. *sigh* I really want to go. I don't want to cry like a baby watching them being interviewed or guesting on TV.. on Philippine TV! I don't think I can take watching them on TV when they just standing on the same country as me.

Don't get me wrong. I'm actually happy that Kpop idols are getting a lot of love from Filipino audiences. Jang Geun Seok is also coming to the Philippines this year. And the Philippine invasion of Big Bang and more idols are already in the works too. If only Super Junior and FT Island didn't decide to have a concert here sooner...

Adorable Korean Child Actors

If you have seen the movie Speed Scandal, or watched 2PM's guestings on Star King before, then you probably know Wang Seok Hyeon. He became popular because of his role as Hwang Gi Dong, Cha Tae Hyun's grandson in that box-office movie. It's a very good comedy film and after I've seen it I just can't get enough of Wang Seok Hyeon's cuteness.

Who can ever forget this smirk?

That scene when they were playing Go-Stop, a Korean game, really made him famous. Because of that movie he appeared in a lot of commercials in Korea. He even recorded a song, a very cute song and performed it live too. He's really adorable!

I mentioned before that I have been following Chuno (The Slave Hunters), a new period drama in Korea. Well the crown prince in the drama, Prince Seok Gyun (real name, Kim Jin Woo) is really really cute too. He's the only remaining heir to the throne of Song Tae Ha's master the late Prince So Hyun. Since his family was killed because of some plague that spread throughout Jeju Island, the little prince must be saved for the future of the kingdom. He had a lot of scenes with Lee Da Hae and Oh Ji Ho in the drama. Lee Da Hae even posted some pictures of her with Jin Woo. He must be receiving a lot of love from Da Hae and the rest of the Chuno cast too. Another adorable and very cute kid on TV!

I wonder if these kids know that they are already working. I envy them because at such a young age they have already met a lot of famous and gorgeous people. How I wish I could adopt either or both of them. I'm sure our house will be filled with loads of joy if these kids are around. Since Wang Seok Hyun is now turning 7, I think he'll be enrolling in school soon. These cute personalized backpacks would be a good gift for him from a "noona" fan like me. A nap mat that comes in many playful colors is a nice buy for these kids too. I bet they (and their moms) will like it because it's really useful especially during their film or drama shootings. And I'm sure they will all look good wearing one from this collection of Stephen Joseph backpacks. I can just imagine Wang Seok Hyeon singing his I Love You song, and Kim Jin Woo enjoying some behind-the-scene bonding time with Da Hae, and wearing these cute bags like themselves. ^_^

PS. Kim Jin Woo didn't have many photos in the internet. I guess he's not that famous yet. But I really find him cute.

Glasses for Fashion or for Function?

When I was little, I really wanted my eyes to have defects so I could wear glasses. Haha. I wanted to wear glasses because I thought it was cool and when you see people wearing glasses your first impression of him/her would always be that she is an intelligent person. I thought the people who wear glasses for its function got eye defects because they read too many books especially at night and during brownouts. Wanting to be regarded as a bookworm, I tried reading books in the spots of the house where there's insufficient light for reading. But I eventually stopped it because I can't finish more than 2 chapters and I just fall asleep. Reading thick novels really make me want to sleep so never did it again.

As I grew older, I met and had friends who don't have good vision and I realized it's not easy to have eye defects. And also, reading glasses isn't only for fashion or for one to be regarded as genius. It can also mean that you didn't take care of your health. Up to now, when I remember how much I wanted to have bad eyesight before just to wear glasses I just laugh at how stupid I was. It really pays to take care of your eyes. Isn't it good to know that you can still teach your grandchildren and help them with their assignments even when you're already 50?

But wearing glasses for fun and for fashion is really popular too. Having seen a lot of Korean celebrities' and friends' selcas, I think Asians really look good in glasses. And I know most of them are just wearing it for fashion. A lot of cute and fashionable glasses can be bought anywhere at very reasonable prices too. So whether for its function or for fashion, glasses are definitely in especially in Asia.

What's Happening with 2PM and Hottests? Words of a Fangirl

What I’ve been reading about 2PM, Jay, and the conference yesterday is really driving me crazy. Especially when photos of 2PM members probably intoxicated and a photo of Junsu with Waii. Should they really resort to this just to get Jay back to 2PM??

I’m a big fan of 2PM and I too want Jaebum back in the group but I would never, ever neglect the feelings and the lives of the other 6 members just because I want Jay back. We have to remember that no matter how devoted we are to our idols, we are just fans. We don’t know them personally. We may be the ones who supports them morally and financially but we cannot dictate them what to do or feel. They have their own lives too. They have feelings too. Just because they are media icons doesn’t mean that they are obliged to make us happy all the time. Again, they have their own lives too, to attend to. I am just a fan and my only role is to support them whatever they want to do and wherever they want to go. I have a voice and a right to let this voice be heard by my idols and their management but it doesn’t mean that it is an assurance that they will listen to me. No matter how many people I drag who have same feelings as mine to voice out my disagreement to their decision, that doesn’t give me the right to change their decision. It will be up to them if they will listen or not. And whichever way they choose they are going to face the consequences too (since they’re people too like you and me) and I believe they are considering theirselves, their family, their management, their dreams too aside from their fans’ voices.

Another Big Earthquake in Chile and Tsunami Warnings

Yesterday, Saturday, 3 something in the morning, an 8.8 magnitude quake shocked Chile. At least 214 were killed due to the earthquake and the resulting tsunami. There were also at least 33 aftershocks felt in Chile and the countries in the Pacific are on alert for possible tsunamis to hit the shorelines facing the Pacific. Actually, during this time, people in Davao Oriental, Surigao, and some places in Eastern Mindanao are experiencing unusual big waves hitting their shores. Although the tsunami alerts have been cancelled in Hawaii and the rest of the Pacific countries except for Japan and Russia, the Philippines is still on Alert No. 2. Which means that people should be ready to be evacuated anytime.

I'm really worried. I hope the government are already taking the necessary preparations for the possible evacuation and rescue in case tsunamis will hit the country. After having battled 2 super typhoons last year, and losing a lot of our fellowmen, houses, and means of livelihood, the Philippines haven't fully recovered yet and if we will face a tsunami situation now, at the height of El Niño and power shortage in the country, it will be very hard for us. So I keep praying for the safety of the Philippines and for the people who are affected by the earthquake to have strength to face this difficult time.

So far, there were no Filipinos reported to be missing or affected by the earthquake in Chile. A lot of Filipinos are all over the world, so I hope there really is no Filipino trapped somewhere there or needs help. During the Haiti quake many Filipinos were affected. I pray that missing people in Chile will be safe too.

On another note, I'm really wondering how they track missing persons during calamities like this or like the Haiti quake. I mean searching for a lot of names of people and making sure if they are safe is really hard. I hope they using a good technology in handling their searches like the Names Browser. For example, if I want to search for an Anna Kim I can find her email address and then I can contact her.

A lot of us might be reminded of the movie 2012. I'm also afraid, truthfully, but it's still 2010 it's still so early. But kidding aside, I think this is really because of the earth getting old, tectonic plates moving, and the environment getting devastated by man, and climate change. Maybe some people might be thinking that God is already punishing us or Mother Nature is punishing us. What do you think? Are we already facing the consequences of our reckless actions and abuse of our Earth, our only home planet?

Let's just all pray for the world and for the safety of everyone and help each other in this calamity.

Writing About Writing

The reason why I started blogging was to express my sentimental feelings which I can't directly show to the people subject to my posts. Yep. Before, I was the writing-because-I'm-emo girl. Then it became a habit that whenever I feel so happy, or feel so bad, or feel so bored, I write an entry. I then realized that the posts are getting longer and longer. Thanks to my English subjects in college who always required us to write movie, concert, play, and story reviews and critical essays, I began to love writing (unknowingly that is.. i just wanted to write and write then). Then I realized, I wanted to write more and when I realized my posts aren't so bad (I have a potential! hahaha!). So, when I wrote again, I made blogging as a tool for me to practice writing (and English grammar of course), thus I made this blog(and my wordpress blog).

Sometimes I write a lot of posts in a month, sometimes, I don't because I'm busy at school or I just can't find the words to describe how I feel, or I just don't feel like writing. That I-just-don't-feel-like-writing phase is dangerous because that drift away from expressing your thoughts to words can either make you more creative or eventually make you lose interest in writing again. Yeah. I've been through this phase countless of times, hence, the very long periods of no posts in this blog before, and the several blogs I made that I just deleted because of inactivity (and also because of me being really forgetful of my passwords and usernames). Even though I have been writing more frequently now, I really think that my writing skills have deteriorated a bit. I miss the times when I could write critically about certain subjects. Is it because I have been turning away from writing emo posts? haha. Or did I just became lazy to think more deeply? I don't know.. I just want to write better so I need to practice even more.

I actually want to attend a writing class or a lecture on writing. I know I've been writing in my diary, the pages of my Math notebook, my blogs, for almost 8 or 7 years now (i started blogging 7 years ago in my Friendster account), but my improvement isn't that good and my progress is really slow but I can somehow say that blogging helped me a lot in improving. When I was in elementary, we were never taught how to write a composition with structure and I only knew very basic English. When I reached highschool, I was surprised how my classmates who came from private schools could write really deep compositions. I hate reading novels too and the only English TV shows I watch are MTV shows. I really embarrassed of my writing skills that time and started reading magazines and the broadsheets (I just can't handle thick novels with no pictures. But I love encyclopedias. hehe) so I won't get left behind in case we will recite our compositions in front of the class. I really wanted to write better and the only way for that to happen was to expand my vocabulary so ditching the books, I spend the boring afternoons at school reading fashion and teen magazines and newspapers. Haha! I also started to indulge myself in English movies and shows. Then I(and my papers) saw some improvements over time. Forgive the bragging but I'm really proud of how my highschool really trained me. When I first heard my classmates' compositions, I didn't want to read mine because of embarrassment. I'm not ashamed that I came from a barrio public school but compared to the rest of my classmates, the ones I learned in elementary didn't really make me that competitive. And if I still studied at the barrio highschool, I don't think I can write better than how I can write today. But as I have said, I feel like I'm not pushing to the limits now and just sticking to mediocre and plain posts(so sad..).

So being in a formal writing class is definitely a dream come true for me. I know I might get a bit of a rough start again but I really want to learn. If I could only turn back time, and if I only discovered earlier, I would surely be in the College of Arts and Social Sciences today. hahaha! But practically, being in IT is a great advantage for me to reach those dreams someday. For now I must practice writing more and also study IT as a stepping stone for my dreams.

I actually can't wait for summer to come so I can have more time watch movies and TV shows, listen to music, read magazines and articles and news in the internet, and just gather inspiration to write. But I really hope I won't get too immersed with the wonderful feeling of getting away from school works that I won't have time to write. I hope.. I also want to get away from the Internet, TV, and my usual life here and stay in my dad's province for at least 2 weeks. I just feel like I need to be away for awhile to think, and relax, and reassess my life goals and what I've done this past school year.

Things to focus on for improvement especially for my serious posts? Structure, cohesiveness, and getting deeper ideas about a subject, and also my grammar. haha! I also realized today that I need to bring a notebook and pen with me always. Because I really had a good idea for a post this morning when I was at the bathroom and now I can't remember it. Ideas can swoosh in just split of a second and I don't have a very good brain to remember them all.

Thinking About Ecommerce

Well, I don't have an eCommerce subject today but some of my classmates are taking up the subject so I also get to hear a lot of comments about it. For their project, they are to choose a client, a business enterprise, that wants to expand into online selling, then they make a website for that client, and if they're lucky enough that their client likes the website, they're going to get some money from their project should the client decide to buy it. I think most of the subjects on this supposed-to-be-last-semester are all business related. We also have Information Resource Management which I also consider to be business-related because it involves using Information Technology for good decision-making of companies. We have an Entrepreneurship subject too. So I guess our 4th year is a preparation for us going into business after graduating.

Well eCommerce is not really just for those who have studied and mastered IT. Anybody can research about it and self-study its concepts and how to build an eCommerce site. Basing on how the students who are taking up the subject give comments about it, they seem to have no problem learning eCommerce so I guess it's not that difficult. So since I'm not graduating yet, I'm thinking of studying it, and practicing how to build eCommerce sites, look for a good ecommerce web hosting, and hopefully, if my business-minded friends would like it, then I'm going to sell it to them. But I'm also thinking of going into business myself so I think I have to make myself an eCommerce website first. Of course an ecommerce web hosting is an important thing to consider since I wouldn't want to risk the security of the business and the customers of the site for having an ineffective webhost.

I've been really into baking these days so can selling home-made cookies be a viable business? I can see a lot of people who are selling pre-owned clothes over social networking sites too. I think they could be good clients.

Glee Addiction

This series is one of a kind! Glee is a very popular musical comedy-drama series in America. I always see it on trending topics in Twitter last year so I thought it must really be good. Fortunately, StarWorld started to air it here too so I tried to watch the first episode and I was instantly hooked. It's just like Highschool Musical but way, way much better. It has more mature characters, better storyline, and exceptional cast. The series is about a highschool glee club organized by a highschool Spanish teacher who wants to restore the glee club to its former glory. It's about highschool life, teachers, bullies, clubs or school organizations, family, and life. It's a story we can all relate too. And another thing to note about this series, it's a musical series! The first in American television I think to have a musical in a TV series. Plus the songs and the singers/cast are really amazing. After I watched the first episode, I immediately searched for the OST in the MP3 Search Engine. Good thing it's available there so I could listen to the songs of Glee everyday. If you want to listen to some of the songs, I recommend the main theme Don't Stop Believin', Rehab, and Take a Bow. If you don't know where to get these songs, for sure they're at MP3 Search Engine.

PS. I'll post a longer review about Glee after I finish watching the first season. :)

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Chinese New Year!

Kong Hei Fat Choi everyone! Saehae bok manhi badeuseyo!새해 복 많이 바드세요! I hope everyone will receive loads of good luck for the year of the Tiger!

We don't really celebrate Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year here at home since we are not Chinese and we don't have Chinese blood. (Well actually. I think all Filipinos have a mixture of Chinese blood in them because of close ties of China and Philippines in the past. In fact my great grandpa looks Chinese a little bit. But we only have infinitisemal Chinese blood so we don't celebrate. ㅋㅋ) So to everyone who celebrates Chinese New Year, Happy New Year to you all may we all be lucky in this new year.

And coincidentally, the Chinese New Year this year falls on the 14th of February which means it's also Valentines Day so Happy Valentines Day to all of us! :) It's my 20th year of being single on a Valentine's Day but it's okay. I'm still happy coz my V-day is always spent with either my family or my closest friends. Seeing a lot of couples on a date on the 14th makes me remember my first valentine's date. It's one of the funniest highschool memories I have but at that time I was so happy. lol. That was young love. Now Valentine's Day for me is just another ordinary day. Blah. My classmate is right. Nothing is special in this day. People are just making it big because businessmen can make a lot of money during this season. Come to think of it how many hotels, restos, and flower shops are jampacked with orders and reservations right now? hahaha! But then again, those lines are for the singles who are bitter that they won't have dates on V-day. I'm not bitter. ㅋㅋ So to all who are in love, were once in love, loved, and are loving someone (significant other or family or self, or friends), Happy Valentine's Day to all of us. ♥♥♥

I have no plans in celebrating Valentines Day nor getting out of the house and watch the city be filled with couples wearing red and oozing with sweetness. My friends and I even joke around that we should take lots of sleeping pills on the 13th enough for us to skip the 14th and wake up on February 15. lol. But fortunately, I'll be celebrating V-day with my sisters and my brother's family. It's my niece's Christening tomorrow and we were invited to join their celebration so yeah I finally have an appointment on V-day. hahaha!

Links of London Jewelries

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. But who says V-day is just for couples? It can be celebrated with friends and families too. Some give their loved ones a bunch of flowers or chocolates on a date or a Valentine's card or a gift. I'm not really used to giving gifts during Valentine's since in my family, we are not really accustomed to celebrating Valentine's day. But this year is different, after many years of just giving out Valentine's letters to friends and my parents, I want to give gifts for a change. Movie treats were the first thing I thought I can give for my friends since a new movie from my favorite Filipino love team is coming up and of course the movie Valentine's Day is also coming up. But I thought a simple yet elegant jewelry piece would be more memorable and meaningful.

Links of London

So I looked for nice gifts which are not too pricy and luckily, I found the website of Links of London Jewelry. They actually have everything we're looking for for gifts to be given to our loved ones on Hearts Day. From necklace, earings, bracelets, rings, charms, watches and other accessories to the friendship bands, they all have it. If you are looking for a genuine and authentic jewelry made in UK to give to someone (not just on Valentines Day of course) Links of London is definitely a good place for you.

Links of London Jewelry include:
 - Links of London Charms, where you can find charms for your personalized bracelets for as low as £ 12.99;

A Breakthrough in Insurance Industry

The last time I cared about insurance was a few years ago when my mom's friend used to visit us a lot because she wanted to convince my mom about buying an insurance and ask her for help in getting more customers. That was when I was still a kid, back when insurance selling in the Philippines is still a house-to-house task. Now, it's different. Because we're now in the internet generation, there's nothing that you can't find in the world wide web just as there's nothing that Google can't help you.

For insurance shoppers, there are A LOT of insurance companies worldwide that you can check out and available online. Looking for which company and which health insurance package isn't a problem anymore because there are tons to choose from. Another useful concept is about health insurance leads. This is definitely a great help for insurance agents and brokers. If before insurance agents need to go house-to-house and spend time, effort, and money on sometimes a fruitless search, today, there are companies like ProspectZone whose work is to connect insurance shoppers and insurance agents. This way, their search for insurance buyers is more effective.

Basically, the process would be like this, ProspectZone has a lot of connections to qualified health insurance shoppers and when a prospect shopper wants to search for an insurance agent, the health insurance lead is forwarded to insurance agents subscribed in their areas. This offers a great deal for both the insurance shopper and the insurance agent. Thanks to health insurance leads companies like this for bridging the insurance needs of shoppers and the search for qualified prospects of insurance agents.

Love Love Love on Valentine's Month

In a few hours it will be February. Time flew so fast and January's over. Well it's the Love Month again since Valentine's Day, one of the most celebrated day all over the world, is fast approaching. I'm sure couples are now planning their dream Valentine's date and the Valentine Gifts they'll give for their partners in that special day. Whether you'll give your loved one a dinner date, a heart-shaped pillow, a dozen of red roses, a box of chocolates, or an expensive gift, what's important is the reason why we gave him or her that gift. So what really is the essence of  giving Valentine Gifts? It's not the financial worth of it but how much love you put to it right?

In South Korea they have cute celebrations of love too. On Valentines day, girls give the guy they like chocolates and on the following month, March 14, they have the White Day where the guys give candies to the girls in return. Interesting isn't it? They have Valentine gifts too.

So about my Valentine's Day celebration? Well for me, I'm looking forward to lots of Valentine movies that I'll watch with my friends. Paano na Kaya which premiered last 27th is a good movie to start my February 14 movie marathon. And I'm also excited for Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston's treat for love story fans and of course the comeback of one of Philippines' most successful love team John Lloyd and Bea Alonzo. Yup, I'll be celebrating Valentines Day with my friends having movie marathons. Who says V-day is only for couples?
