The Vampire Diaries, Glee, God of Study, Personal Taste. What could be crazier than watching 4 TV shows/Dramas! Well, only an out-of-school youth like me can do that. Haha!

I Want a Personalized Duffle Bag for Christmas!

Since it's holidays I don't have much to do so for the past week I just had movie marathons and Kdrama marathons. Actually, I have lots to do but I want to enjoy the holidays so I'm setting them aside until after our highschool reunion. haha! Then I'll do my assignments and take a break for the New Year celebration. I hope I have more time to enjoy and just be a couch potato. Haha!

Today I watched some episodes of Iris, my new addiction. It's a Kdrama that just aired its last episode last week. It's a great action-drama series starred by Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Hee. I'm going to make a review of the drama Iris soon. I love, love, love it. Its cinematography, plot, script, cast, and acting - definitely fantastic. I'm hoping to finish watching it this week.

After watching Iris, we went to the city to buy some groceries that we forgot to buy last week for our Noche Buena. There were so many people in the mall and in the streets. I had fun looking at them and walking past them. I can really feel that it's really Christmas in just a few hours. But of course because of the Christmas rush, I expected the very long queues in the counters. Good thing I have already bought my gifts last week to avoid such hassles. I'm very excited to see my sisters' reactions when they open the gifts I bought them. I hope they'll like it. But what I'm more excited about are the gifts I'm going to receive. Who wouldn't be excited right? Christmas, aside from being about God, is also about giving and receiving. And one of the best gifts you can give to students like me is a personalized duffle bag! People who personally know me know very well that I'm not a very big fan of collecting bags. I only get those which I really need. In fact I only have one for each special need I guess. And this personalized duffle bag is one that is not yet in my closet so I will really be delighted to receive one of these cute duffle bags for Christmas. Well, of course, it would be much better if you personalize it and print Super Junior members' names there. I'm also thinking of giving some to my friends and relatives after the Christmas break. A laundry bag would be nice for my classmates who are living in boarding houses and don't do the laundry themselves. Insulated lunch totes would also be best for my cousins who are still students. Wow. In just a matter of time it will be Christmas and I can smell excitement everywhere I go. Merry Christmas everyone!

You're Beautiful (미남이 시네요)

My current addiction. This is another good Korean drama. It features the life behind the angelic looks of A.N. Jell, an idol group. The story revolves around Go Mi Nam(고미남)/Go Mi Nyu(고미뉴), a clumsy aspiring nun whose twin brother got accepted as a member of the famous idol group A.N. Jell. But because of certain circumstances, when her twin brother was about to debut in a group, he couldn't be there so Mi Nyu had to pretend that she's Mi Nam. Everything was going well at first but no secret can be kept hidden so as (episodes) days pass by Go Mi Nam's adventure as a girl pretending to be a guy becomes difficult. Hwang Tae Kyung(황태경) is the clean freak, and snobby leader of the band who soon becomes Mi Nam's closest "hyung" in the band. Despite Tae Kyung's very strong personality, he and Mi Nam goes along really well especially when Tae Kyung discovers that she's a girl. Kang Shin Woo (강신우) is the sensitive member who easily discovers Go Mi Nam's true identity but because he wants to protect Mi Nam, nobody knows that he(Shin Woo) knows Mi Nam's secret. Jeremy is the bubbly magnae(i think) of the group.

I really like this drama. I think it's more fun than Boys Over Flowers. Maybe because I'm a fangirl so it gives me more insight about idol groups in Korea. Well I just finished watching Episode 9. Actually this airs in Korea on Thursdays and Fridays and last Friday, was Episode 12. I'm a bit late but it's okay.. I think Episode 9 is one of the best episodes of YB so far.. I'm excited to know what's gonna happen next. But I'll watch the next episode tomorrow.

Episode 8

• The last leg of the competition takes place - the swimming part. And who won? Well, somebody turned off the lights on the moment of truth.
• Ji Hoo and Jan Di won't be expelled, and the issue will be taken as if it never happened so they had to celebrate for a victory and they had a date.
• But unfortunately(or was it fortunate for Jan Di/Jun Pyo?) everything about the rest of the date only made Jan Di think of Jun Pyo even if she's with her first love Ji Hoo. On the other hand, Jun Pyo too was thinking of her.
• Then, after calling it quits for Jun Pyo and Ji Hoo, the F4 plotted a prank for Jan Di and Jun Pyo to patch things up. And after that, they then went on a date and Jun Pyo surprised Jan Di's family by paying a visit and asking her parents if he could spend the night in their house.

• What's the meeting about with F4, Jan Di, and Jyun Pyo's noona?? It's about a competition courtesy of Jyun Hee noona.
• Who won? Not yet revealed in this episode since the competition's gonna end in Episode 8 so watch out for that.

- Jan Di enters Shinhwa High. At first she didn't want to study there but she was eventually convinced since she loved swimming and in Shinhwa High, she can practice. She then meets the infamous F4 and gets to know the world of the rich and famous.
She then receives the red card from F4 and there her adventure (or should I say problematic-yet-sometimes-fun-and-happy life) begins. Gu Jyun Pyo bullies her and she then meets the silent and mysterious Ji Hoo with whom she finds comfort.


Episode 2

- Jan Di's Shinhwa life continues. She fights Jun Pyo back but the story just got more exciting as Jun Pyo continues to enjoy seeing Jan Di suffer not knowing that he is slowly liking Jan Di now. In this episode, Jan Di meets Ji Hoo's best friend Min Seo Hyun who's like his big sister (and his secret love) who's also very kind to her.
Kilig moment : Ji Hoo carries Jan Di. She wore a wonderwoman outfit because she thought it was a costume party while everybody else was on their cocktail dresses. Seo Hyun also helped her and gave her a dress.


Episode 3

- Ji Hoo then escorts Jan Di back to the party. Then, Jun Pyo accidentally falls into the pool upon seeing a roach (lol). Jan Di saved him. [Jun Pyo doesn't know how to swim.] Ji Hoo confesses his love for Seo Hyun but she doesn't accept it saying that Ji Hoo is only a little brother for her. Jan Di is also sad that her secret love Ji Hoo is rejected. Jun Pyo's mom appears in this episode.

-I love this episode. This is the part where Jun Pyo saves Jan Di from the people in the school that were throwing eggs on her and accusing her of stuff. Then Oh Min Ji's story unravels - her childhood and Jun Pyo's great impact in her life. Then of course the New Caledonie trip! If you wanna see Lee Minho half naked you better watch this episode. Plus the scenes from New Caledonie are just amazing.

Boys Over Flowers

Kkotboda Namja or Boys Over Flowers, the Korean version of Japan's famous manga Hana Yori Dango, finally hit the Philippine small screen. The Tagalog dubbed Boys Over Flowers started airing in the Philippines last May 11. It was 2003 when Meteor Garden was aired here and it marked the start of the Asian Drama invasion in the country. Since then, many TV series from countries like Taiwan and Korea have dominated the primetime slots while the first ones who invaded our televisions, the Mexican telenovelas remained in the afternoon slots.

Boys Over Flowers is one of the biggest hit dramas of Korean television. It is also the most talked-about and grandest adaptation of the Japanese Manga. The korean F4 is undeniably appealing and at the same time good in acting. The main cast include Gu Jyun Pyo(played by Lee Minho), the leader of F4; and the love interest of Geum Jan Di(played by Goo Hye Soon), the main girl character; Yoon Ji Hoo(played by Kim Hyun Joong leader of the boyband SS501), the silent F4 member and Hua Ze Lei's counterpart; So Yi Jung(played by Kim Bum), the playboy of the group; Song Woo Bin(played by Kim Joon rapper of T-Max), the mafia heir; and Cho Ga Eul (played by Kim So Eun), Geum Jan Di's bestfriend and Yi Jung's love interest.

As soon as I heard that Korea was going to produce an adaptation, I was so excited in watching it and was curious who the members of F4 were. It was aired on January 5 this year in Korea and had their last episode on March 21.

In my opinion, this is my favorite HYD adaptation. I haven't seen the Japanese version though because I never heard of it during the time it aired and it never hit the Philippine shore. In the following posts I will post the screencaps of all the episodes of Boys Over Flowers. I want to share some caps of the TV drama that made my heart melt during the months of January to March. :) :) :)

A TREE IN HEAVEN

Thanks to the 2-day transport strike we will not have classes tomorrow until Tuesday. (It's not actually a good thing because it's a sign that jeepney fare is going to increase due to the continuous increase in gasoline in the world market. Enough about that.) Because of the "long weekend," we decided to have DVD marathons! And first in line is a Korean drama series entitled "A Tree in Heaven/Heaven's Tree/Tree of Heaven" starring Lee Wan(Kim Tae Hee's brother[the girl from Love Stroy in Harvard], he's a very good actor and also handsome ^^,) and Park Shin Hye(sigeg hilak! :P). I've never cried this much since Love Story in Harvard and Princess Hours. It's the most heartbreaking story I've ever watched. I think almost 90% of their life(in the series) was made up of miserable experiences. They were always crying and heartbroken. It was such a sad story. Even the ending was not what I expected(they did not have a happy ending..*spoiler!*). Shocks! It was the saddest Koreanovela I've ever watched! Despite everything that hindered their relationship, they proved that what they have and feel for each other was unconditional.
